Chris Kimmer is an Assistant Professor of Informatics at Indiana University Southeast. He teaches courses in human computer interaction design, databases, and Python programming. He has developed course materials using the Microsoft Kinect as a teaching tool for gamification, human computer interaction, and information visualization. One of his main research interests involves developing new scientific simulation methods in high-performance computing environments or using graphical processing units (GPUs). He is also interested in developing new scientific computing tools in web and mobile environments or using new interaction tools such as the Microsoft Kinect.
