Heatit°C is an open-source electronics platform that precisely outputs high current. We will demonstrate different uses of the platform during our presentation as well as highlight various e-materials as it relates to high current applications.

Eszter Ozsvald is a Hungarian designer, technologist and media artist based in New York. She studied Industrial Design Engineering and Mechatronics in Hungary. She joined Kitchen Budapest Media Lab in 2008 as a researcher. The following year, at the Estonian Center for Biorobotics, Eszter developed a biologically inspired flexible robot fish as well as she worked with soft electronics and smart textiles and started the SymbiosisO project. She holds a Master's Degree from NYU ITP's program. All projects Eszter takes interest is come from generating ideas and coming up with novel solutions where intuition is essential. Her work has been exhibited in various conferences, such as Siggraph LA, NIME2012, Ambience2011, Games for Change 2012, TEI2012, Siggraph Hong Kong 2011, Pixelache Helsinki 2010 and ISEA Ruhr 2010.

Interaction Designer - beesplusflowers

Sue Ngo is a Brooklyn based Interaction Designer and Technologist. In her work, she explores the intersection of technology and art to create compelling multimedia projects. She has been immersing herself in the wearables community, teaching classes at 3rd Ward, Death for Audio and Ventana244 on thermochromatics materiality. She has created electronics workshops geared towards kids from age 10-17 for BEAM camp and Bronx GreenFab, empowering schoolchildren to learn more about tech as a form of self-expression. She hopes to continue to build workshops to empower people with technology. Her passion is to find the intersection between technology, traditional handcraft and social justice. Her work has been featured most notably on Anderson Cooper 360 as well as Huffington Post, WNYC, Core77, Creator’s Project and Fast Company. She is a graduate of NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program.
