Chris Anderson is the Editor in Chief of Wired, and the author of The Long Tail, Free and the forthcoming "Makers: The New Industrial Revolution". He is the founder of DIY Drones, 3D Robotics and GeekDad. He started his career in the science world as a physicist, before migrating into media via the science journals Nature and Science and then The Economist before taking over Wired in 2001. He lives in Berkeley with his wife and five young children. Fun fact: he started college at age 25, after a misspent youth in punk rock bands.
