The Stirling engine was invented in the 18th century as an alternative to the steam engine. These model Stirling engines include three powered by alcohol lamps and two powered by hot water in a coffee cup. They are unusual and fun to watch.

- The Robot Group

Once an electronics technician, I am now a precision machinist. Strickly manual - no CNC.I have two children, Lucas, 16, and Whitney, 14. I believe they are what is making my hair turn gray. I discovered the Stirling engine through a friend when I had the interest in making a model engine to challenge my skills. I love making things by machining. I have helped in the creation of several displays that are being presented by The Robot Group
