GonKiRin is a huge scale steel dragon sculpture/ interactive kinetic playground built on the frame of a 1963 dump truck. Measuring nearly 60 feet from nose to tail, and over 26 feet tall, she spews over 10 feet of flames from her nose. A year in the making which started last April in West Oakland, California, GKR was moved this February to Detroit, and completed in Motor City in July 2011. Gon KiRin is the brainchild of LED artist Teddy Lo, and kinetic sculptor Ryan C. Doyle.
