Through synthetic biology, we aim to provide two tools that will enable human colonization of Mars and beyond. Regobricks are a building material created from regolith. PowerCell is a microbe capable of producing nutrients from CO2 and sunlight.

We are a group of Brown and Stanford undergrads working with NASA on engineering biology to solve difficult problems in space exploration and life support. We believe that prolonged space exploration will only be possible by using the technology that nature has already developed--we just need to put the pieces together.
