Born and raised in Alaska, Matthieu made the move to New York six years ago in an attempt to discover all that the Greatest City on Earth had to provide. He has not been disappointed. Discovered here in New York City was the most intense concentration of thinkers, doers and makers imaginable, supplied with all the materials and inspiration necessary to make their dreams manifest into reality. From that moment on he has had no choice but to join in the fun. From his work as a biomedical field engineer, assisting with surgical implants of cardiac rhythm management devices, to his volunteer work in sculpture and design, contributing to the advancement of techniques in local arts collectives, Matthieu has busied himself attempting to fuse the art and science he observes every day into one coherent force that works tirelessly toward not just adding years to our lives…but life to our years.
