About the Maker(s)

Sam Blanchard

Sam Blanchard is an artist that skirts the lines between sculptor and performer. He is among a sect of artist for whom the process and the result are one in the same. His pre-constructed over-the-top senarios unfold gradually revealing the soul of an introspective everyman. Currently residing in Grand Rapids, MI, Sam Blanchard is an Assistant Professor and Program Chair of Sculpture and Functional Art at Kendall College of Art and Design. He holds a MFA from The Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA from Ohio University.
