The high school students at the Macomb Mathematics Science Technology Center designed and constructed a solar car powered with 180 watts of solar panels and from aluminum channel salvaged from a demolished sun room.
I teach technology to gifted and talented students. Over the past couple of years, I have spear-headed a Green Club as a school activity which focuses on promoting an awareness of energy and energy conservation at our school. I enjoy transforming theory that is learned in the classroom into practical hands on technology projects designed and constructed by students.
