- love your mutt

While growing up, our home had many different creatures: hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, and dogs. Rascal, Chuckles, Bobo, Beggar, Bullett, Snowball, and Annie all found a way to sincerely touch our hearts. My mom was always crafting, gardening, painting, canning, and sewing We still enjoy doing projects together. I started sewing when I was a teenager, and I have always loved to imagine and create special things. A few years ago I picked up a little puppy, Lucky, the runt of the litter. He was in a box of puppies on their way to the animal shelter. He has turned out to be a very special and amazing little muse. He inspired me to create a very unique line of dog collars, made from my collection of vintage and retro fabrics and ribbons. Thus "Love Your Mutt" was created. Each piece is designed and sewn by me. I have participated in alot of events in austin; first thursdays on congress, stitch, and the blue genie christmas bazaar, just to name a few. In my spare time, I love to go to flea markets, yard sales, or thrift shops. I just love finding that perfect piece of fabric that I can make into something.
