Sashimi Tabernacle Choir

This award winning art car from Houston has 250 electromechanical singing fish and lobsters, 300 pounds of batteries, a Linux netbook to coordinate all the singers, and more than 5 miles of wire in the control system. "Quiet please, this is serious."

About the Maker(s)

Richard Carter

Sashimi Tabernacle Choir

Richard Carter started life as a physicist but later recanted and became a mathematician. Regardless, he likes to make stuff in the physical world. A wide variety of folks have made this project possible, including neuroscientists, biologists, teenagers, an EE, and even an MBA, to name but a few. Oddly, not a single artist though.
