The Firebot has an Ultrasonic, touch and infrared sensors, 3 motors and 2 NXTs. When the infrared sensor detects the flame, the hose starts spraying water directly at the hotspot. It can move back and forth to aim correctly and puts the flame out safely.

I am a 6th grader from East Middle School in Plymouth Canton School system and extremely interested in robotics. I have participated in maker faire once before and in an innumerable amount of robotic events and even made it to the state finals in the First Lego League robotics competition. I am an expert with Legos and that is why I chose the Lego NXT Mindstorm for this project. I play basketball for a league and participate in Cross country for school. I love playing sports and conducting Science Experiments.

I am 12 years old and go to Green Hills School, Ann Arbor MI. I play many sports such as Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, and swimming. I am a very innovative person as I love to build stuff and do stuff with robotics. I am a very playful person and love to have fun. My favorite hobbies are reading, robotics, and sports. My favorite subject is science even though I like math and French too. I play a lot of music I play piano, Sitar (an Indian instrument), and Flute. I know a lot about Greek mythology from the titans to Zeus it is one of my favorite things to read about. Even my favorite book series is about Greek mythology Percy Jackson. I want to go to Stanford College when I grow up. I have a very playful personality you can even ask my friends. I never want to stop playing.
