The Bass Sleeve

The Bass Sleeve is a real-time gesture based controller for live electric bass performance. It uses an arduino board with a combination of flex sensors, FSR’s, and an accelerometer to map the movements of a performer to sampling and real-time audio processing including pitch shifting, delay and low pass filtering.

Izzi Ramkissoon is an award-winning electro acoustic multimedia composer, performer, and sound artist. He has written works for a variety of media including theater, dance, installations, alternative controllers, and interactive multimedia. His research interest includes interactive multimedia music performance and composition, sensor networks, and music cognition. Graduate of NYU.
