About the Maker(s)

Greg Willerer

Brother Nature Produce

Greg Willerer is an educator of 15 years turned farmer, built a one acre farm called Brother Nature Produce in Detroit. BNP is a produce company that grows mostly salad mixes, harvests them right before delivery/farmers markets which removes the middleman, refrigeration and food miles from the food system. BNP practices regenerative methods of farming which do NOT use chemical fartilizers or pesticides. Instead organic methods are practiced and hundreds of cubic yards are annually composted, regenerating the land. As an educator, Greg regularly collaborates on environmental justice projects, like food justice and helping to bring about curriculum change to schools in Detroit. Life is usually not that interesting; most of his time, however, is just spent pulling weeds.
