Moonraker: Winning Robot Entry for NASA Challenge

Moonraker was a robot designed for the NASA Regolith Excavation Challenge. The robot was built by Paul's Robotics in the summer of 2009, and competed at the event in October and was successful in digging 440kg of simulated lunar soil in 30 minutes, earning $500k for the team.

Paul Ventimiglia is a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in MA. He is a seasoned Battlebots veteran, as well as a mentor for a local FIRST Robotics team. Most recently, Paul lead a small team of engineers to victory in the 2009 NASA Regolith Excavation Challenge and won $500k for his team and new company, Paul's Robotics.
