The GuitarBot, from LEMUR: League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots, is a robotic, electric slide guitar-like instrument that can be played from computer. It will be performing music written specifically for the instrument.
LEMUR is a group that creates robotic musical instruments. Founded by musician and engineer Eric Singer, LEMUR creates exotic, sculptural musical instruments which integrate robotic technology. LEMUR's ever-growing ensemble includes slide-guitar-like GuitarBots, assorted percussive ModBots, XyloBots, water-based HydroBots, the Indonesian-inspired GamelaTron and others.
