Ever wish you owned a Power Wheel? Were you the jealous kid down the street who wanted one, but your parents never let you have it? Well, Pumping Station: One, with the help of i3 Detroit is giving you an opportunity to redeem childhood dreams. The Power Racing Series consists of hackerspaces from around North America submitting heavily modified youth ride-on toys in order to win prizes and present their mad creations to the public. Three races; a drag race, road course, and an Endurance Battle Royale, will be sure to challenge hackerspaces and makerspaces alike, as they reinforce frames, wire up scooter motors, and rush to mend any damages incurred during the heat of the race.
