For the Craft Area of Maker Faire:

My craft tutorial this year will be making Star Wars Sock Puppets! I will show craftsters how to transform boring socks into tauntauns, Yoda and other Star Wars characters. I'll also have other materials available for people to make finger puppets!

Plus I'll also have the R2-D2 Builders come for a visit during the tutorial to allow for photo ops with kids and other craftsters.

This will be the third year I'd be doing a Star Wars Craft tutorial for Maker Faire. The first year I did a Make a Yoda Doll tutorial and last year was a Make Star Wars Marble Magnets tutorial.

I'm the Senior Editor of Starwars.com where I create original geeky crafts for kids. I also wrote "You Can Draw: Star Wars" and am currently writing the "Star Wars Crafts Book" for Random House.
